Biography

 

Praveen joined the CSEE department at UMKC in Fall 2007. He completed his PhD in Computer Science (Aug 2007) from the University of Arizona under the supervision of Prof. Bongki Moon. The title of his dissertation is "Indexing XML Data for Efficient Twig Pattern Matching". Broadly, his research interests are in Database and Information Systems.

Praveen received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering in 1999 from the University of Pune, India. He received his Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Arizona in 2001. From August 2001 - August 2002, he worked as a software engineer for the Search Infrastructure group at Amazon.com in Seattle.
